Our next Portal Happening is march 28-31, 2024 in Todos Santos, Mexico. The theme is Happy Birthday to You &You &You. It’s everyone’s birthday, interpreted by our ensemble of artists— a surrealist seduction dinner, sperm/egg safari, cosmic conception stargazing, and finally, the birth of Venus and birthday party. read on for more details….

We traveled to the island of Formentera. Spain for Portals on the Sand happening. Our ensemble of creatives gathered at the artist colony Can7 for five days of pure joy and experimentation. Special thanks to our presenters Sarita Woody. Gallivanter, Dillon Porter, Mehry Eslaminia, The Josh Craig, Miro, and Doug Aikin. And also to me for the world premiere of Micro Class, in which everyone was invited to teach a class for 10 minutes or less.

Portals of The Oasis art happening was held over four days last February. Highlights included the Portal Bus Tour, an evening exploring the cuisine of indigenous Baja California, the Portal Ball interactive art event, and Cosmic Sonica stargazing led by the psychedelic rock band Daturas and astrophysicist Matteo Cantiello.

Proyecto Dracula’s first happening was “Universe, Metaverse, and Verse.” Programming included Cosmic Sonica quantum stargazing, a film screening by Lucy Walker and a sound installation from the ancient caves of central Baja by SETI Institute’s Charles Lindsay.

In the winter of 2021 Julia Chaplin, Zach Bell, and Monica Badgley ran Unos Santos, an experiment in living, where we invited our friends from around the world to live in Todos Santos for a few months using Dracula as our salon/ social laboratory.
